Jackson Gallery in Aiken Opens New Sculpture Garden

The Jackson Gallery in Aiken, SC, will open its new Sculpture Garden with an exhibition of metal sculptural works by Mike Williams of Columbia, SC. Williams will also show new paintings at the gallery. Both exhibits will be on view from Oct. 12 - Dec. 22.

The exhibit opens Oct. 12 during Aiken's One Fine Night an evening of arts in Aiken.

Williams, a native of Sumter, SC, maintains a studio in Columbia's Vista Studios, a complex of artists' studios and gallery space in Columbia's Congaree Vista area.

Williams recently participated in the Palmetto Tree Project where he transformed his steel tree into a life-like metal sculpture of a palmetto tree. His works are represented in galleries in Aiken, Columbia, Camden, SC, Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte, NC.
