Belton Center for the Arts in Belton, SC, Offers Annual Juried Art Show

The Belton Center for the Arts, located in Belton, SC, is presenting the 5th Annual Belton Standpipe Festival Juried Art Show, on view through Nov. 8, 2003.

This exhibition is a regional juried competition including submissions from SC, NC & GA in watercolor, ceramics, basket weaving, sculpture, photography, fiber, oil and others. Paul E. Matheny, III, Chief Curator of Art at the South Carolina State Museum was the juror. Over $4000 in merit and purchase awards were presented at the opening reception for the exhibition. A record 171 artists and 335 pieces of artwork were received for the Belton Center for the Arts' 5th Annual Belton Standpipe Festival Juried Art Show.

The Belton Standpipe Festival takes place from Oct. 2 - 4, 2003.

The Belton Center for the Arts is a community arts center striving to provide the greater Belton area with quality cultural programs and educational opportunities in the creative arts. The Center is located at 300 North Main Street in Historic Downtown Belton.
