Waterfront Gallery in Charleston, SC, Offers Works by Tami Cardnella

Tami Cardnella's new show Food Portraits is on view at Waterfront Gallery in Charleston, SC, on view from Oct. 6 - 31, 2006.

Cardnella's interest in food takes center stage as she spotlights many of the comfort foods Americans love to eat. From childhood favorites like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to oysters on the half shell for the more sophisticated palette, Cardnella has created paintings sure to make your mouth water.

Of her new works Cardnella says, "I have been fascinated with food and cooking since I was a little girl. So naturally painting food is fun for me, not only do I get to arrange interesting pictures, I get to eat the results afterwards. Many people have viewed my still life paintings over the years and often I hear the term kitchen paintings. Many clients do put them in their kitchen or dining areas, but they look great anywhere. I believe the viewer will enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed painting them!"
