The Wells Gallery at Kiawah on Kiawah Island, SC, Features Works by Rick Reinert

The Wells Gallery at Kiawah on Kiawah Island, SC, is presenting the exhibit, Southern Light, featuring new works by contemporary Impressionist, Rick Reinert, on view through Oct. 17, 2010.

Rick Reinert's (b. 1955) formal art training took place at Western Kentucky University in the 1970's and gave way to independent study resulting in various one-man shows in the 1980's including Germany and Toronto, Canada which featured large, bold expressionistic work.

Reinert renewed his commitment to painting a number of years ago and since his work has reflected both his passion for expressing light and shadow in nature and surroundings while striving for purity in color and brushstroke. Reinert has achieved a unique and distinctive painting style because of constant self-teaching and study.

Reinert's work has been included in Oil Painters of America 2008 National Exhibition, of which he is also an associate member along with the American Impressionist Society. He has been featured multiple times in American Art Collector Magazine (most recently, a spread in their Oct. 2010 issue).  He has won "Best of Show" and numerous place awards for his artwork which hangs in private and corporate collections in the US, Europe, Canada, South America and Asia.
