Black Creek Arts Council in Hartsville, SC, Feature Works by Bobbi Adams

The Black Creek Arts Council in Hartsville, SC, is presenting Butterflies Are Free, featuring works by Bobbi Adams, on view in the Jean & James Fort Gallery through Oct. 25, 2013.

Adams is a professional artist, gardener and naturalist who states, “The Greek word for butterfly is psyche or soul. In many parts of the world the butterfly is the symbol of the real self and long life.”

“The initial stages of a butterfly’s metamorphosis are small. As the butterfly grows older, its true beauty shows and butterflies becomes the equivalent of spiritual evolution and rebirth,” adds Adams.

“It reminds us that we can make changes and express our freedom and joy in old age.”

Adams will also debut her book Gatherings From The Garden, which is illustrated with drawings, collages, and photograph from the author’s garden.
