Grace Li Wang Gallery in Raleigh, NC, Features Works by Jason Graighead and Grace Li Wang

The Grace Li Wang Art Gallery in Raleigh, NC, is pleased to announce the exhibition, Polarities: Works from Across Spectrum, on view Jan 13 through Feb. 15, 2003. The exhibit showcases contemporary works in pastel and mixed media works from members of the Pastel Society of North Carolina, Jason Craighead and Grace Li Wang.

The Pastel Society of North Carolina was originally formed in 1996 with the purpose of promoting standards of excellence in the use of the medium of soft pastels. The Society members show in many regional exhibitions and have works in many private and public collections. The Society holds meetings on a monthly basis during which programs, demonstrations and critiques are held. During the year the society sponsors several workshops.

Jason Craighead, a painter of American Abstract Expressionism, resides in Raleigh. He studied Art while attending Florida State University. His contemporary abstracts have received numerous awards and his patrons have been from large corporations to interior designers and private collectors.

Grace Li Wang's contemporary pastel media work is known for its dramatic colors and stylized forms in both representational and abstract presentations. Her work has been exhibited and collected by private and public sectors locally and internationally.
