Hayes George Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Presents 1st Anniversary Exhibition
The Hayes George Gallery in Charlotte, NC, proudly announces its First Annual Anniversary Show in celebration of the gallery's first year in Charlotte. The exhibition opens Jan. 6 and will be on display through Jan. 31, 2006. The exhibit honors the nationally and internationally acclaimed artists new to the Charlotte area represented by Hayes George Gallery.

The works of Alison Dunn, Mayme Kratz, Michael Kessler, Kit Reuther, James Shay, Allison Stewart and Hiro Yokose are held in numerous museum collections across the country. Other gallery artists have been awarded prestigious honors, public works commissions, national show reviews and have work housed in several of the nation's top corporate collections, as well as in the US Embassies abroad, making their work highly collectible and desirable.
Owners Merrill Hayes and Renee George McColl have strived to feature exciting and creative group exhibitions. Shows such as The Surface and Poetry and Art paired unrelated works of figurative, still life and nonobjective art and sculpture shown together to create interesting and unique shows.
The First Annual Anniversary Show will feature work by each of the artists represented by Hayes George Gallery. The show brings together wonderful examples of traditional subject matter, such as landscape and still life, shown in contrast to more nontraditional pieces using materials like fabricated steel and cast resin. Bold color and fascinating technique will be on view along side early 19th century drawings making this one of the gallery's most exciting shows. The exhibition highlights the scope and talent of the artists represented by Hayes George Gallery and showcases the spectacular art available in Charlotte.
