Hodges Taylor Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features Solo Exhibitionss by Steven Seinberg and Tim Buchman

Hodges Taylor Gallery in Charlotte, NC, is pleased to announce two upcoming solo exhibits: Steven Seinberg: New Work and Tim Buchman: Umbria. The exhibition opens Jan. 5 and continues through Feb. 23, 2007.

Steven Seinberg works in the abstract, with lyrical references and subtle undertones of nature. His work is compositionally intriguing, with an intuitive sense of aesthetic balance. His soft palette of colors and amorphous forms seem to emerge and fade spontaneously across the canvas.

Tim Buchman is well known for elegant compositions of architectural imagery as well as photographs from his travels. This body of work is from a recent trip to Umbria, Italy, and focuses on the natural landscape with particular emphasis on the ancient olive trees of the region. The images explore the contrast between foreground and background with the quiet restraint for which Buchman is known. Buchman lives and works in Charlotte, NC.

In business since 1981, Hodges Taylor Gallery represents contemporary artists of the southeast, including painters, printmakers, photographers and sculptors. The gallery offers a public venue in uptown Charlotte for viewing artwork and serves as art consultants for individual and corporate collectors.
