McClellanville Arts Council in McClellanville, SC, Hosts Holiday Art Sale on Dec. 2-4, 2005
 
The McClellanville Arts Council will host a Holiday Art Sale on Dec. 2-4, 2005, at the Art Council's Pinckney Street Gallery in McClellanville, SC. The sale will feature original work by Lowcountry artists. Works will include: original paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, hand-made writing papers, hand-crafted furniture, ceramics, cast-nets, sweetgrass baskets, cement garden planters, wearable art, and folk art.

The art sale will emphasize work of area artists in a variety of media with prices ranging from $5 to $5,000. Twenty percent of the proceeds of sales will go to the Arts Council to support its programming.

Among the artists and craftsmen featured are Jo Jeffers, Elizabeth Turk, John McWilliams, William Baldwin, Janna Larson, the DeAntonio Studios, Geneva Lowe, and Charles Williams. 

Local authors will be on hand to sign books during the event. Many of the artists will be present during the sale. Nearby seafood restaurants will be open for most of the sale hours and daily throughout the holidays. 

Sale hours are: Dec. 2, 6-8pm for the Holiday party & preview open to all; Dec. 3, 11am-6pm; and Dec. 4, noon-4pm.

From Dec. 8 ­ 23, 2005, the Pinckney Street Gallery holiday hours are Thur.-Sat., from 11am-2pm & 4-7pm and Sun., from noon-3pm.

This event is free and open to the public.
