The Treasure Nest Art Gallery in Mt. Pleasant, SC, Features Works by Karen Burnette Garner

The Treasure Nest Art Gallery in Mt. Pleasant, SC, will present the exhibition, Lowcountry II - New Works by Karen Burnette Garner, on view from Nov. 4 - 30, 2006. The exhibit continues Garner's tradition of creating lowcountry landscape paintings reflecting the Charleston area. Over 30 new works in acrylic on canvas will be shown.

Garner, a native of Georgia who now lives in Dacula, GA, has painted professionally for over twenty years, and has been represented by The Treasure Nest Art Gallery since 2002. Without formal training, she sought instruction from mentor John Baden-Nuttall, an English art master and world traveler, and for three years Garner studied the creation and business of art. She attended workshops with well-known artists Gerald Brommer, Marilyn Huey Phillis and the late Al Brouillette, and has studied the techniques of artists Ray Ellis and the late Paul Strisik. After twenty years as a professional artist, Gerner has developed her own style and life philosophy, incorporating an appreciation for beauty, creativity, and inspiration into daily living.

Garner's clients include Wachovia, Chateau Elan Winery, Holston Vallery Hospital, University of Georgia, and Larry "Chipper" Jones of the Atlanta Braves.
