T.L. Norris Gallery in Greenville, SC, Offers Works by Jeanne Leemon

T.L. Norris Gallery in Greenville, SC, is presenting A Classic Perspective, featuring works by representational painter, Jeanne Leemon, on view through Nov. 16, 2013. A reception will be held on Nov. 15, from 5:30-9pm.

The gallery is displaying pieces from several bodies of work by Leemon that depict various still life scenes and landscapes with vast, extravagant skies.

A self-taught, multi-faceted artist, Leemon paints still-life, figures, and landscapes in both oil and pastel. “The inspiration for my paintings usually originates with various combinations of colors, shapes, textures, or reflections; however, ultimately it is the light that makes the subject come alive for me. Depicting this light is the most rewarding part of the painting process for me,” says Leemon.

Leemon is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, a juried member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA), the International Guild of Realism, the Women Painters of the Southeast, and also a member of the Portrait Society of America. Her paintings have been accepted into numerous juried shows throughout the Southeastern United States, including four OPA Eastern Regional Shows. Her work is included in both private and corporate collections. Leemon was featured in the October issue of American Art Collector magazine.
