Tippy Stern Fine Art in Charleston, SC, Hosts Solo Exhibition by Arn Strasser

Tippy Stern Fine Art, LLC in Charleston, SC, will present a solo exhibition of new work by gallery artist Arn Strasser, on view from Dec. 7 - Feb. 7.

This body of work speaks to artistic imagination, the making of unique pieces and the continuous dialogue between the work and the view. This exhibition is Strasser's first solo show at Tippy Stern Fine Art. He will show a large body of new work on paper, wood, and canvas. Strasser states that these paintings are about boundaries and borders, intersections and confluences, and to view the work as if you were looking at it from above, as land forms, paths, and bodies of water. The work might also be seen less literally as communications, interaction, and intersections of energy. Whatever else, these paintings are not expected to be static. They will change and look different depending on the viewer's mood, the time of day, and the quality of light The work is about line, form, color, and markings.

In this series of new work, Strasser brings out his bright optimistic colors that evoke the light and landscape of the southern coast. He uses markings as language, eluding to words with the illusion as written word, and markings to indicate human form and settlements.
