Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Peter Olevnik
The Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, Artist-of-the-Month for Dec., 2003, will be Asheville artist Peter Olevnik.
Olevnik received his formal art training at an art school in Ft. Wayne, IN, that is now the Art Department of Indiana University at Fort Wayne. He works in both non-objective and representational styles, striving to achieve a personal expression whether inspired by a mountain scene or an abstract conception.
An active worker in the promotion of art, Olevnik has been affiliated with the Ft. Wayne Art Guild, Indiana Art Guild, Pyramid Art Center, Rochester, NY, The Swannanoa Valley Art League, and is past-president of the Asheville Gallery of Art
