Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art in Greensboro, NC, Celebrates 30 Years with Collector's Choice Gala and Winter Show

The Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art in Greensboro, NC, celebrates its 30th anniversary with the 25th Collector's Choice Gala on Dec. 4, 2004, from 7 - 11pm. The Gala is the popular opening night party and preview of The Winter Show, on view from Dec. 5 - 31, 2004.

The event is Green Hill's annual holiday exhibition and sale of fine art and craft featuring works by 150 North Carolina artists.

The gala is a project of the Collector's Choice Committee of volunteers, organized this year by Chair, Mary Hale and Co-Chair, Laura Gasiorek. Collector's Choice offers a first-hand opportunity to preview and purchase fine art from The Winter Show. Proceeds from the sale of art and the Collector's Choice ticket sales support Green Hill's educational programs for children and adults and 2005 exhibitions. Participating artists receive a 60% commission on all sales.

Reservations for Collector's Choice can be made by contacting Green Hill at 336/333-7460, ext. 103. Admission price ranges from $55-$70 dollars. Become a member of Green Hill and receive one of the many benefits including discounts on admission. Attendance to Collector's Choice is $60 per person for advance reservations ($55 for Green Hill members) and $70 door admission ($65 for Green Hill members). The evening will feature cocktails/bar and dinner/buffet by 223 South Elm, and of course...Lots of Art!

In this anniversary showing, you will find art & craft including clay, glass, jewelry, fiber and textiles; painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture, along with wood and mixed media. A holiday tradition, the show gives the public a rare opportunity to view and purchase from a wide variety of art; perfect for art collectors and holiday shoppers looking for that one-of-a-kind gift.
