Providence Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Presents Annual Group Exhibition

Providence Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will present the exhibit, Hip to be Square, the gallery's third annual group exhibition. The show, which will feature over sixty painting by select gallery artists, will be on view from Dec. 5 - 31, 2008.

Offering new works by over thirty artists, this show offers something for collectors of all genres. Traditional landscape, seascapes, figurative works and still life will be displayed along with contemporary works in abstract and collage. All paintings are squares - paintings on square canvas, board, and wood box. This fun show brings out the creativity in our artists. Often individual squares are combined by one painter to create triptych paintings or groups of squares to form a series of work.

Featured artists include: Rod Wimer, Judith Cutler, Laurie Richardson, Ada Offerdahl, Sheryl Stalnaker, Dru Warmath, Rod Wimer, Michele Harvey Collins, Cher Cosper, Kathy Buist, Kathy Caudill, Paula B. Holtzclaw, Harriet M. Goode, Jim Fales, Lita Gatlin, Beverly F. Evans and many more.
