The Sylvan Gallery in Charleston, SC, Offers Annual Holiday Exhibition

The Sylvan Gallery in Charleston, SC, will present its annual holiday show, Small Works, featuring works by gallery artists, on view from Dec. 3 - 31, 2008.

Celebrating six years in business on King Street, December 2008 will again find The Sylvan Gallery presenting a Small Works show in time for the holidays. Representing 36 artists, works by most will be in this show of oil paintings and sculpture. Works by artists Rhett Thurman, Nancy Bush, Joan Potter, William Berra, Ted Ellis, Glenna Goodacre, Guido Petruzzi, Trey Finney and many more. These special "jewels" are sure to brighten everyone's holiday celebrations. This yearly tradition is looked forward to by many collectors.

Paintings and sculpture by national artists of note are displayed over two stories of gallery space. This is the quieter time of year to wander the streets and visit this gallery with works depicting locations all over the world as well the charm of Charleston's lovely scenery. These artists live throughout the nation and travel regularly for inspiration. They are highly collected throughout the United States and beyond.

Joe and Janie Sylvan add a freshness and enthusiasm to the eastern art world bringing their Santa Fe experience to full bloom in the local art market. They have contributed greatly to the rocketing Charleston art scene and continue to do so.

The Sylvan Gallery focuses on 20th and 21st century representational art. Since opening in late 2002, they have shown that diversity is success.
