Charleston Artist Guild Presents Two New Exhibits

The Charleston Artist Guild is currently presenting its 44th Annual Exhibition in the upper lobby of the Gaillard Municipal Auditorium in downtown Charleston, SC. The exhibit, featuring members' works in various media, will be on display through Feb. 12. After this exhibit comes down the Guild will put up its Annual High School Artistic Merit Awards Competition, featuring works by students from throughout the Charleston area who are competing for cash awards. This exhibit will be up through Feb. 24.

The Charleston Artist Guild, now 47 years old, currently has a membership of over 500, a paid administrator, and a new office located at the Rhodes Center of the Arts in North Charleston, near the North Charleston Coliseum, Convention Center, and Performing Arts Center.

The Guild is also participating in the global art community through its Internet web site found at (http://www.charlestonartistguild.org). The site offers information about Guild competitions and exhibit opportunities, a copy of its monthly newsletter, applications for college scholarships, and much more.
