February Issue 2009

Charleston Artist Guild in Charleston, SC, Features Beaufort Art Association

The Charleston Artist Guild in Charleston, SC, will present the exhibit, Beaufort Goes to Charleston, featuring works by members of the Beaufort Art Association in Beaufort, SC. The exhibition will be on view from Feb. 2 - 28, 2009.

Approximately 40 BAA artists will participate in the exhibit in Charleston with works in a variety of subjects and media, including painting, photography, and fine crafts. Charleston gallery visitors will see watercolors by Michael Pearson, photographs by Ed Funk and Karen Peluso, lowcountry landscapes by Mac Rogers and Hetty Nijman, glass by Camille Perrin, pastels by Eve Miller, collage by Carol Molten, and ceramics by Carolyn Goyette. Other Beaufort artists will include Tricia Gardner, Jack Mayer, Ellen Long, Kim Bogan, Patricia Connor and Joan Templer.

This exhibit is an exciting opportunity for BAA members to exhibit in a new venue - and is also the reciprocation of an exhibit by Charleston Artist Guild members held in Nov. 2008 at the Beaufort Art Association Gallery. This exhibit will coincide with the Southeastern Wildlife Expo being held in Feb. in downtown Charleston. This is always a big event in the Charleston area.

For further information check our SC Institutional Gallery listings, call the guild at 843/722-2454 or visit (www.charlestonartistguild.com).
