The Kiawah Art and House Tour Benefits the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, SC

On Apr. 5, from 3-7 pm the Gibbes auxiliary group, Gibbes etc., presents the Kiawah Art and House Tour. Five of the most spectacular homes on the Island will be open to the public. These homes not only showcase world class architecture and stunning views of the ocean and marsh, but also famous works of art owned by private collectors. The art collections feature paintings, sculptures, etchings, lithographs and mixed media.

Several collections feature well-known Lowcountry artists and highlight Kiawah and Charleston locations. In addition to the art on display, one home will have art for sale. Docents will also be on hand at each home to lead the home and art tours.

Tickets for the tour are currently available at the Kiawah Town Hall, the Kiawah Island Real-Estate Straw Market office, the Gibbes Museum of Art, or by mail by sending a check for $45 per ticket payable to "Gibbes etc." along with a stamped self-addressed envelope to 203 Glen Abbey, Kiawah Island, SC 29455. For more information please call Karen Davis at 843/768-3355. All proceeds benefit the Gibbes.
