Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Sara LeVan

Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, Artist-of-the-Mouth for Mar., 2004, will be Black Mountain, NC, watercolor artist Sara LeVan.

LeVan's exhibit, Interstate Scenes, consist of scenes and fragments that have caught her eye as she has driven the area roads and interstates. A stately pine near a highway exit near her home inspired her painting, Almost Home. Medians and traffic islands inspired Cheerful Fuss. Barricades, construction sites and repairs evoked More to Come.

An active worker in the promotion of art, in addition to Asheville Gallery of Art LeVan is an artist member of the North Carolina Watercolor Society and has exhibited in Seven Sisters Gallery, Black Mountain, NC, Baton Rough, LA Gallery. The Asheville Art League, Swannonoa Valley Fine Art League, Black Mountain, NC, and Toe River Arts Council, Spruce Pine, NC.
