Spencer Art Gallery I & II in Charleston, SC, Features Works by Kaye & Scott Penegar and Jan Sasser
Spencer Art Gallery I in Charleston, SC, is presenting the exhibit, She Painted, He Painted III, and Spencer Art Gallery II will present, Gifts of Nature, featuring works by Jan Sasser. Both are on view from Mar. 31 through Apr. 14, 2006.
It is both exciting
and instructive to see two different artists paint the exact same
subject matter, especially when the artists are very
different. Kaye Penegar, a realist painter, and husband Scott
Penegar, an abstract painter, will do just that when they present
their show She Painted, He Painted III. This is the third
year for this popular show.
At Spencer Art Gallery
II, Jan Sasser will present her very realistic paintings in her
show Gifts Of Nature. Sasser has a real talent for focusing
in on the main interests in a painting, leaving one with a "been
there, seen
that" feeling.
