Spencer Art Galleries in Charleston, SC, Offers Multiple Exhibits in March

The Spencer Art Galleries in Charleston, SC, is offering a jam-packed schedule of special exhibits during the month of March in addition to daily showing the works of over 30 artists.

The schedule for Gallery I includes: Forest Windows, on view from Mar. 2 - 10, 2007, featuring paintings by K. C. Collins. New paintings will showcase this artist's unique and subtle interpretations of landscapes, especially forest scenes; from Mar. 16 - 23, 2007, will be A Touch Of Reality, featuring paintings by Claudette Bell. A long-time resident of the Lowcountry, Bell's oil and watercolor paintings uniquely capture the ambiance of the Lowcountry; and from Mar. 30 through Apr. 6, 2007, the gallery will present the forth annual She painted, He Painted, show of new works by wife and husband artists Kaye Penegar and Scott Penegar.

Always an exciting show, Kaye paints realistic and impressionistic subjects and then Scott interprets the same subject matters in colorful abstract paintings.

The schedule for Gallery II includes: Delicate Colors, on view from Mar. 16 - 23, 2007, featuring etchings and paintings by Pat Van de Graaf. New works by this artist cover a range of subject matters with careful and minimal use of color. Van de Graaf's etchings capture the very essence of her subjects.

Also on view from Mar. 30 through Apr. 6, 2007, will be the exhibit, Charleston's Best, featuring paintings by Kelly Stanley. New oil paintings by Stanley show unique visions and interpretations of Charleston downtown scenes.
