Waterfront Gallery in Charleston, SC, Features Works by Susan Colwell

Waterfront Gallery in Charleston, SC, is presenting an exhibit of new works by Susan Colwell, through Mar. 31, 2007.

These recent oils capture the different moods of places or moments special to Colwell. Large, impetuous brush strokes and lush color typify her abstract impressionistic paintings. "I strive to keep a spontaneous, fresh feeling in my painting with loose strokes and rich color," says Colwell.

The impact of fall is strongly present in the work September. Colwell fills the painting with fuchsias, oranges, and muted greens with the hope that the viewer will be drawn into the painting.

In addition to Waterfront Gallery, Colwell is represented by Brazier Fine Art in Richmond, VA, Art Source in Raleigh, NC, and Tyler-White in Greensboro, NC.
