Arts League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, Features Works by Costanza Knight

Arts League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, will present the exhibit, Polyrhythms, featuring works by Costanza Knight, on view in the Grace Etheredge Room at Opportunity House from Mar. 14 through Apr. 9, 2010.

Knight, a watermedia and mixed media artist, creates contemporary expressions that celebrate the human form and the landscape. Her recent Blue Green Jazz Series explores music as a subject matter. Knight takes the shapes of the musical instruments and weaves them into the abstraction of the painting as she listens to a particular piece of music. Also exhibited will be her continued exploration of flight and the ephemeral.

Knight studied art in Florence, Italy, and at UNC Asheville. She paints and teaches out of her studio at The Arts Council of Henderson County.

For further information check our NC Institutional Gallery listings, call the League at 828/696-3132 or visit (www.artleague.net).
