Carolina Gallery in Spartanburg, SC, Offers Works by Theresa Reuter

Carolina Gallery on Morgan Square in downtown Spartanburg, SC, is hosting an exhibition of new work by Theresa Reuter, on view from Mar. 18 through May 15, 2010.

Reuter's work is inspired by the energy in nature. She states, "My gift is when I can make a connection with others by expressing the beauty I see. Light, color, and the movement of forces between gravity and air are more important to me than the techniques that I use.  It is that spark, that power, that glimpse of truth that inspires me to keep searching for ways to express what I see and feel."

Originally from upstate New York, Reuter left a sixteen year career teaching art to pursue her dream of becoming a full time artist. She moved to the mountains of North Carolina where she worked part time on a horse farm and began building a body of work that encompasses depictions of spirited horses, lush garden flowers and exotic figures in the Junkanoo Parade in Nassau, Bahamas.

Reuter has exhibited her work throughout the Southeast, won awards and been featured in the Transylvania Times newspaper in Brevard, NC, as the 2007 "Artist of the Year."
