Arts Council in Greenville, NC, Features Sculpture and Works on
the Wall
The Pitt County Arts Council in Greenville, NC, is presenting several exhibits including: The Down East Sculpture Exhibit, featuring work from artists residing in the southeastern United States, and On The Wall: Emerging ENC, featuring works by talented artists from eastern North Carolina. Both exhibitions are juried competitions and will be on view in the Emerge Gallery through Apr. 11, 2010.
East Carolina University's Student Activities Board sponsors the Down East Sculpture exhibit. The exhibit features work from artists residing in the southeastern United States. All indoor sculpture will be on display at The Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge while the outdoor winners will be on the ECU School of Art and Design lawn.
This year's juror is Adam C. Walls, a sculptor, and instructor at UNC Pembroke. His work will be on display at the Mendenhall gallery at ECU through Apr. 11, 2010.
On the Wall: Emerging ENC is a competition showcasing talented artists from eastern North Carolina that work in medias ranging from photography and painting to printmaking and mixed media. This is a great opportunity for the community to experience the local talent.
Located in Uptown Greenville, The Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge is an artist and student managed non-profit art center that offers rotating exhibitions, adult and children's art classes, and an eclectic sales gallery featuring ceramics, textiles, jewelry, painting, sculpture, and photography. Emerge also offers classes and workshops for children and adults.
