Annual Art Auction to Benefit The Light Factory in Charlotte, NC

The Light Factory, Charlotte, NC's nationally recognized non-profit alternative arts organization will hold its 19th Annual Benefit Art Auction on Apr.28 from 7-11pm at The Light Factory. This year's event promises works by nearly 100 highly collectible artists. Proceeds go to support The Light Factory's Education and Exhibition programs.

Each year The Light Factory's Art Auction attracts more than 250 supporters from Charlotte and the surrounding Metrolina region. "You won't want to miss this event. Those attending enjoy the artwork, mingle with friends, and support a cultural organization that is vital to the changing face of Charlotte," says Stephanie Glick, Director of Administration at The Light Factory.

The fundraiser is made possible by the generosity of regional and national artists who donate works to be auctioned. This year's auction features works by nationally recognized artists such as Pinky /MM Bass, Peter Goin, Elijah Gowin, Simmons Jones, Tom Rankin, Maggie Taylor, and Jerry Uelsmann. Some of this year's contributing Carolina artists include Rob Amberg, Byron Baldwin, Carl Bergman, Carolyn DeMeritt, Herb Jackson, Elizabeth Matheson, Phil Moody, Mark Sloan, as well as work donated from Center of the Earth Gallery in Charlotte.

Tickets to The Light Factory's 19th Annual Benefit Art Auction may be purchased in advance beginning Apr. 3 by contacting The Light Factory Tuesdays through Fridays, from 12-4pm. Member tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Non-members: $25 in advance and at the door. Membership is available by contacting The Light Factory.
