Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC, Offers Lincoln Center / List Collection of Fine Art Prints

Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC, announces an exhibition of fine art prints by selected artists from the prestigious New York City Lincoln Center / List Collection. Selected works will be exhibited from Apr. 4 - 30, 2004.

Celebrating a forty-year anniversary, the Lincoln Center / List Collection has earned its reputation through the stature of its artists. The collection has been aptly described as a history of the graphic arts in America. Somerhill Gallery is honored to host the List Collection, which has prints in over 400 public collections around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art.

In addition to the framed artworks on the wall, the exhibit will be enhanced by the guest appearance of Director Thomas Lollar, who will be at the Gallery on Apr. 13, 2004, with a table of "travel prints" representing the collection, to discuss these famous artists and their artwork.

Gallery Director Joe Rowand recently commented, "Somerhill is proud to be associated with such an esteemed collection of fine art prints. Our collectors will have the opportunity to skim the cream of the best-of-the-best".

The exhibition will include prints by: Jamie Wyeth, Peter Plagens, Robert Longo, Jules Olitski, Wolf Kahn, Gerhard Richter, Helen Frankenthaler, Howard Hodgkin and many others.
