Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Jane Desonier

The Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, will present the exhibit, Across These Mountains - The Many Faces of Water, featuring new oil paintings by Jane Desonier. The exhibit will be on view from Apr. 1 - 30, 2005.

Desonier's artist statement reads: "These paintings have been a wonderful opportunity for me to focus on water in it different incarnations and through the different seasons in Western North Carolina. We all seem to gravitate to water whether it is a lake, pond, mountain stream, hidden cascade or roaring falls. Water inspires, calms, nourishes, and provides a wonderful recreation. For me concentrating on water has been a great challenge and great fun!"

A Fine Arts major at the University of New Orleans, Desonier has also studied at the Scottsdale Artist School and taken workshops with nationally known artists. Her award winning work has been accepted in numerous national juried shows.
