Elder Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Offers Annual Landscape Exhibit

Elder Gallery in Charlotte, NC, presents its fourth annual Landscape show, Landscape, Earth & Its Elements, featuring paintings by seventeen American artists from around the nation, begins on Apr. 7 and continues through May 20, 2006. Included in the exhibition are the following artists: Daniel Bayless, Carl Blair, Javier Lopez Barbosa, Richard Conn, William Farnsworth, Matthew Frederick, Kevin Harrison, Michael Hennessy, Wolf Kahn, Jung Han Kim, Leandro Manzo, Jeremiah Miller, Tom Perkinson, Carl Plansky, Michael Tousignant, Thomas Van Stein and Marlies Williams.

Participants in the exhibition were selected based upon their unique painting style and choice of subject matter. "Our attempt is to showcase the wide range of talent within this group of artists," says Larry Elder. "Our gallery is known for its ability to present an extensive variety of painting styles and techniques and this exhibition will certainly confirm that fact."

This year's exhibition goes beyond the typical landscape to explore natural elements as well as man-made components that make up our world. A beautiful impressionistic landscape may be juxtaposed with an abstract rendering or a contemporary cityscape. There will be a number of surprises for the person who is expecting to see a traditional landscape show.
