Raleigh, NC, Features Works by Jennifer Gardner and John Whitney
Gallery C in Raleigh, NC, is presenting the exhibit, New Works on Paper and on Canvas, featuring Jennifer Gardner and John Whitney, on view through May 6, 2009.
Gallery C is proud to present their two newest artists, Jennifer Gardner and John Whitney, in their first exhibition with the gallery. Both artists are well-established artists in their chosen fields - pastels for Gardner, and mediums ranging from monoprints to acrylics to oils for Whitney.
The exhibition is comprised of Gardner's lush landscapes rendered in a vivid palette of pastels, as well as Whitney's bold figures in acrylic on canvas and paper. The works of the artists play off each other, sharing an intrinsic understanding of the importance of color and the relationship between the artist and the world around them, yet remain distinct in their approach.
