Greenville Technical College in Greer, SC, Features Works by Upstate High School Students

The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Greenville Technical College’s Greer Campus, in Greer, SC, is pleased to announce the 24th Annual Upstate High School Art Exhibition, on view through Apr. 25. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Apr. 24, from 7-9pm.

This year’s exhibition features 163 artworks from nineteen Upstate high school students. Works representing a vast range approaches, media, and techniques were selected by participating high school art instructors with entries in digital and web mediums shown side by side with more traditionally developed works.

Awards for this exhibit will be selected by Hampton III Gallery owner and director, Sandra Rupp. Rupp has been at the forefront of Greenville’s well-established art community, successfully directing the state’s second oldest fine art gallery for 2 decades. Rupp’s breadth of experience in the arts and knowledge of art education make her an outstanding choice for this year’s event.

The exhibit and reception are made possible by our generous sponsors: Greer Professional Pharmacy, Reel Video and Stills, Duke Energy, and Greenville Tech Foundation.

For further information check our SC Institutional Gallery listings, call Enid Williams, Gallery Director at 864/250-3059 or e-mail to (enid.williams@gvltec.edu).
