Lawson Jewelers & Gallery in York, SC, Feature the Work of Dorothy Shoemaker

Lawson Jewelers & Gallery in downtown York, SC, will present a new exhibit entitled, Scenes from Far & Near, by Dorothy Shoemaker through June 30.

After years of working strictly in watercolors, Shoemaker discovered a fascination with oil painting, and today works exclusively in that medium. She has shown her work in galleries and museums from GA to NJ, and has won many grants and show awards dating back to 1985. Her powerful landscapes and still lifes capture everyday images, yet by working in a loose, colorful, and realistic style, she transforms her subject matter, allowing us to see our world more vividly.

For further information check our SC Commercial Gallery listings or call the gallery at 843/684-4312.
