Shain Fine Art in Charlotte, NC, Features Works by Geoffrey Johnson

Shain Fine Art, in Charlotte, NC, is featuring recent paintings by Geoffrey Johnson, through May 31, 2001.

Johnson is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy, the oldest teaching and collecting institute in the US. His work was featured in New American Paintings in 1998 and he is a past winner of the Morris Blackburn Landscape Prize and many other awards. His much sought after pieces are in numerous private and corporate collections including: Coca Cola Family Collection, Turner Broadcasting, BellSouth, Rohm & Haas/Philadelphia, Wachovia Bank, Duke Mansion/Charlotte, NC and Brenau University, to name a few. His largely tonalistic, soft focus landscapes and strong dark to light urban scenes, have a sense of the mysteriousness of life that has had a tremendous response. Examples of Johnson's images may be viewed on Shain Fine Art's web site, found at (http://www.shainart.com).
