Tryon Painters & Sculptors in Tryon, NC, Shows Works by Merritt Roach

Tryon Painters and Sculptors is hosting Hendersonville artist, Merritt Roach's one-woman exhibit at the Tryon Fine Arts Center, Tryon, NC, which will be on view through May 22, 2001.

Roach, a prominent award-winning painter, studied for her BFA in painting at the University of Georgia, finishing her degree at University of North Carolina-Asheville. Her watercolors and pastels are found in many corporate and private collections in both the US and Europe. In 1998 she received national attention when one of her paintings was included in the "Arts for the Parks" Top 200. Recently she was one of the area artist featured in the Mountain Arts Studio Tour.

Roach's work includes a wide range of subject matter - landscapes, birds, animals, florals, and the human figures.
