Charlotte Art League in Charlotte, NC, Offers Annual Spring Exhibit

The Charlotte Art League along with Helms, Mulliss, and Wicker are pleased to announce the League's annual spring juried art competition, Spring Into Art, which will be on exhibit through June 1, 2002, at the Charlotte Art League Gallery in Charlotte, NC.

The juror for Spring Into Art is Alex Horstman. Born in Manila, Philippines, of mixed cultural heritage, Horstman uses diversity and integration as the premise for his conceptual approach to artwork. He lived most of his life in Seattle, WA, and now resides in Charlotte. Horstman graduated from Oberlin College, Ohio with a BA in Geology, and earned an MFA in Printmaking at the University of Colorado, at Boulder.

An awards reception will be held at the Charlotte Art League gallery on May 3rd from 6-9pm. Cash awards totaling $2000 will be awarded during this event.
