Stokes County Arts Gallery in Danbury, NC, Features Works by Barbara White

Barbara White will exhibit her latest work at the Stokes County Arts Council Gallery in Danbury, NC, during the month of May. The show is titled Pleasant Memories and White's philosophy of her work is, "It is my sincere desire that I might share a pleasant memory or peaceful moment with you through my paintings. A painting is brought to completion when it hangs in someone's home as the chosen one."

White was born in Forsyth County and her husband Jeff was born and raised in Germanton. They currently live in Winston-Salem. White is active in her community; serving others is an important element in her life, as is serving her church. She enjoys art, sewing, crafts, singing, beekeeping and volunteering for the Arts Council.

White was the winner of the 1995 Stokes County Arts Council Landmark print competition with her painting, Hanging Rock. This has been one of the favorites of the Landmark print series and is available for purchase at the Dan River Art Market where White's work is on permanent display.
