Sizl Gallery in Carrboro, NC, Features Works by Robert Cvetkovski

Sizl Gallery in Carrboro, NC, is presenting an exhibition of new works by Robert Cvetkovski of Kriva Palanka, Macedonia from May 14 through June 6, 2004.

Cvetkovski was educated at the Faculty of Arts in Skopje. While in the first phase of his studies he committed himself to the expressionistic, wide, juicy stroke...in his later works he creates "danetelest" spaces of precisely interwoven curve, broken lines, stains, velvet interlaces that present us a different world.

Cvetkovski has been painting for the last six weeks at the Acme Studios of Wilmington, NC, artist Dick Roberts, and currently at the Lexington, NC, studio of artist, Jim Moon.

Cvetkovski met Roberts through two artist colonies: One held at the St. Joakim Osogaovski Monastary, near Kriva Palanka, and the other held on Bald Head Island, aptly titled No Boundaries; a colony Dick Roberts co-founded with Pamela Wallace Toll and Gayle Tustin.
