Aiken Center for the Arts in Aiken, SC, Offers Three Unique Exhibits

The Aiken Center for the Arts in Aiken, SC, is offering three exhibitions including: Calendar Creations, featuring works by high school students; Works by Bernard Willington; and the Aiken Artist Guild Annual Spring Show. All thre exhibits will be on view throug May 27, 2005.

Featuring pieces by area high school students and using elements from Horseplay calendars, Calendar Creations, will be juried by Robbie Bellamy (local artist and Aiken County tourism program coordinator), Lorenzo Williams (Augusta, GA, artist and teacher) and Ruth Herrera (local artist and instructor at the Center).


Bernard Willington

Bernard Willington's selections focus on the art of golf and country clubs, as well as other subjects. Works feature renowned courses such as Augusta National and St. Andrews.

The Aiken Artist Guild Spring Show, a juried exhibition, will showcase the talents of members of the Artist Guild.

Located in the heart of downtown Aiken, Aiken Center for the Arts has been a major art resource for the community for over 30 years. Offering a variety of visual and performing art classes, free exhibits, children's summer art camps and special events such as Horseplay, the Center is dedicated to furthering arts in the community.
