Green Rice Designs & Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features Exhibit of Works by University of North Carolina at Charlotte Students

Green Rice Designs & Gallery in Charlotte, NC, is pleased to announce an exhibition of works by the UNCC advanced ceramics students entitled, Something Like Cold Cream. The group of seventeen students will feature conceptual stoneware sculpture and offer interactive experiences to the public. The exhibit will be on view from May 5 - 28, 2005.

The Green Rice Gallery will also feature a wide variety of fine studio craft and original art from local and regional artists.

Green Rice Designs & Gallery opened in the Summer of 2003 in a small 1930's building on a side street of NoDa. Within a year and 50+ artists later wall space in the 800sq. ft. gallery became limited and the decision to grow was made. The gallery is now reopened in a 5100 sq. ft. 100+ year old building in the heart of NoDa (36th Street at North Davidson Street).

As fate would have it the new building recently went through facade renovation and was appropriately painted green. Once again Green Rice Designs & Gallery is the host to many of Charlotte's talented emerging artists.
