Arts Center in Hendersonville, NC, Offers Exhibit of Still Life Works

The Arts Center of Henderson County, Inc. in Hendersonville, NC, is proud to announce its 1st Juried Art Competition and Exhibition entitled Still Life. The exhibit will be on view through Aug. 5.

At the opening reception on May 20 a total of $1000 was awarded in cash prizes. Works were judged by Brenda Coats, recipient of a 1991 National Endowment for the Arts Grant and the Residency Fellowship La Napoule, for sculpture, in 1993.

Artists from Western North Carolina and many surrounding states have submitted over one hundred pieces of artwork depicting a "Still Life" theme. All works are two-dimensional in a variety of media. Most of the selected artwork will be for sale with prices ranging from $75-$2000.

The Arts Center of Henderson County, Inc. is a non-profit organization serving the public through exhibitions, lectures, tours and educational programs and providing a visual arts forum for the residents of Henderson County and the region.
