The Fish or Cut Bait Gallery Opens in Edisto Beach, SC

The Fish or Cut Bait Gallery has opened its doors for the 2001 summer season in Edisto Beach, SC. The gallery will feature artists from SC and beyond whose media include painting, sculpture, textile and other innovative art forms.

The artists include Lisa Boykin Adams, Robert Allison, Peg Averyt, Nancy B. Bourne, Eileen Blyth, Ed Bryan, Bert Cutts, Steven Fiegenbaum, Greg Fitzpatrick, Ginny Good, Ruth M. Lacey, Jeanne McIntosh Lirola, Elena Madden, Albert McCormack, Kathy Metts, Cindy Saad, Laura Spong, Zenobia Washington, Jann Welch, Elizabeth Whitener and Mike Williams.

"I wanted to bring a sense of whimsy and fun to customers. Edisto is a casual, but distinctive community. I think the gallery will blend right in and add a lot to both business and art," states Brailsford Sutton, owner of the gallery.

As evidence of the whimsical nature of her gallery, Sutton has included fishing related merchandise, in addition to art. "For people who fish seriously, it is an art," offers a public relations consultant for Fish or Cut Bait Gallery.

Brailsford Sutton, a native of Pinopolis, SC and a resident of Columbia, SC, for 28 years, had a vision of an art gallery that would express new life and the art of discovery. Her enthusiasm and determination were the inspiration for her move to Edisto, SC, which she felt was the perfect location for a gallery that blended art, fishing and creative spirituality.
