Gallery Crawl Planned for West Jefferson, NC's Art District
On Friday, June 22, beginning at 5pm, the streets of West Jefferson, NC, will be humming with activity as the 2nd annual Gallery Crawl gets underway. The event, designed to spotlight and promote the artistic talents that West Jefferson is so fortunate to have in its fair town, was a huge success last year! Downtown art galleries and studios will open their doors from 5 to 8pm to welcome visitors.
The following galleries and studios will offer hors d'oeurves to persons who want to peruse and see first-hand the fine array of artistic talents to be found here in Ashe County: Acorn Gallery, Ashe Arts Center, Ashe Custom Framing & Gallery, Beth Ball Interiors, Captured Earth Gallery, Dancing Pig Gallery & Frame Shop, DePree Studio & Gallery, KMcD Interiors & Fine Gifts, The Quilt Gathering, The Red Hyacinth Studio & Gallery and Stephen Shoemaker Studio.
Admission to Gallery Crawl is free. Maps are available at the Ashe Arts Center and other participating galleries. Each gallery will donate a work of art as a door prize, The Arts Center will host a dessert gala and door prize drawing at 8:15pm, at the conclusion of the Crawl. In order to be eligible, you must obtain a ticket (free), and bring it to the Arts Center, after having it punched at each of the 11 locations.
