Art League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, Offers 43rd ArtFest on Main
Visit for the first time, or come back to Western
North Carolina's beautiful cool mountains for the best outdoor
Art Fair in the Southeast. Artists and visitors have been return-ing
for 42 years to enjoy ArtFest (formerly Sidewalk Art
Show), which is one of the top 100 outdoor art fairs in the
country in Hendersonville, NC. Artfest will be Aug. 2 &
3, rain or shine.
There is free admission and parking for all visitors interested
in original fine art and prints of original art works. More than
100 regionally and nationally recognized artists are participating.
You may purchase a wide range of beautiful original art work in
styles from abstract to representational, in oil, pastel, watercolor
and mixed mediums, presented at prices making them excellent values.
An artist competition will award more than $1,500. to the top
paintings and photographs submitted by participating artists.
Artist demonstrations are planned through the weekend to add to
your enjoyment. Take advantage of this opportunity to watch artists
create beautiful paintings and to talk directly to them about
their artistic endeavors.
Main Street will be closed to vehicles so you can stroll leisurely
through the artists' booths and quaint Historic Downtown Hendersonville
shops in safety. Experience in person the friendliness and warm
southern hospitality for which we're famous.
ArtFest on Main is a wonderful day trip for the family
living close enough to Hendersonville, NC, but you might want
to reserve a room in one of our great B&B's or motels because
it will be hard to leave after just a day in the mountains.
