Hilton Head Art League Features Ceramic Works by Sheri Farbstein

Clockwork, Design and Texture is the name of the exhibit featuring works by Sheri Farbstein at the Hilton Head Art League Gallery in Pineland Station on Hilton Head Island, SC. Noted for her innovative ceramics that range from the simple to the complex, Farbstein will present an eclectic collection for us to enjoy. Her show runs through June 18, 2005.

Over the years we have seen Farbstein's ceramics from tea pots to architectural ceramics and back again. Says she, "My work is constantly changing because I get bored creating the same thing. My ideas are constantly going through revisions. I work in series using the same general theme, but I never do the exact thing twice. A series can last as long as a few years, or as short as a few weeks. It all depends upon my creative mood at that time."

Born in Cleveland, OH, Farbstein earned a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. She taught high school art in Pennsylvania and pursued a career in pottery, sculpture and architectural ceramics. Farbstein shows her work through associations, galleries and shows. Her ceramics are in private collections, corporate collections, and museums.
