Wilmington Gallery in Wilmington, NC, Features Works by Cheryl McGraw

The Wilmington Gallery in Wilmington, NC, is presenting the exhibits, Two Coasts: From Mendecino to Bald Head Island, featuring works by Cheryl McGraw, and Natural Progressions, featuring works by Sally Bullers. Both exhibitions will be on view through June 25, 2009.

Cheryl McGraw offer the following about her work. "This show is a collection of paintings which represent some of  my impressions of the North Pacific coast of California from Mendocino to San Francisco and the pleasure I had in visiting there a couple of years ago. It also contrasts the beautiful shores of the Southeast Atlantic coast here in the Wilmington area. What a difference there is in these two coasts of our expansive country!"

Sally Bullers offers the following about her works. "I would like to take the viewer on a journey from realistic painting to abstract. This show will demonstrate the progression from plein air painting, done outside from nature, to the idea of giving nature a little nudge. By taking the design elements found in nature I construct a totally new reality. I love painting outdoors for the pleasure of getting outside and enjoying the company of my "painting buddies." But then I often take the results of these plein air outings and use the ideas, shapes, colors and emotions to create a world of my imagination."
