Triangle Artist Eric McRay Celebrating 2nd Anniversary at Artspace in Raleigh, NC

During this upcoming First Friday "Gallery Walk" in Raleigh, NC, on July 6 Triangle artist, Eric McRay, will celebrate his 2nd Anniversary at Artspace. McRay invites friends, patrons and Triangle newcomers to join in the celebration at Artspace - Studio 205.

During his first two years at Artspace, McRay has been steadily moving up in the Triangle art scene. "I have many art fans and patrons to thank for that," says McRay. "Also, the venue I have at Artspace has opened up so many doors... I used to work in a small room at home that I turned into a studio, and few saw my work until I had a gallery show. Now, the public can see my work anytime... even while it's still in progress." "And I like to interact with the public," says McRay. "It's great to hear and see people's reactions to my work." "And I'm happy to say that the majority of the reactions have been very favorable."

Through his very colorful and dynamic style, McRay has touched the soul of many Triangle art lovers that have passed through his Artspace studio. If you have not yet had a chance to see the creations of this Triangle artist, stop by his studio. McRay's paintings are currently on display at Artspace, Studio 205.

McRay holds a BFA degree from Maryland Institute, College of Art, in Baltimore where he earned a four-year scholarship for his artistic talent. Corporations that include Texas Gulf, Goodwill Industries of NC, Duke University Medical Center, and Western Wake Hospital, as well as many individual investors across the country and internationally have collected his works.

McRay was named one of the Artists to Watch for 2001 by the Raleigh News & Observer. He serves on Artspace's Board of Directors, and recently became President of the Artspace Artist Association.
