Arts Council of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, Offers Traveling Postcards

The Arts Council of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, will present the exhibit, Postcards, in the Council's Neill Gallery, on view from July 3 - 31, 2009.

Postcards is a collaborative traveling exhibition of postcard-sized original paintings by artists representing seven western North Carolina arts agencies. All art has been donated by the artists and is framed in black shadow boxes and available for the affordable price of $70 each. Henderson County artists represented in the exhibit are: Joan Engle, Rosa Haynes, Betty Henshaw, Janet Jacobson, Al Junek, Bonnie Maddox, Barbara Remensnyder, and Maxine Tatreau.

The exhibit is sponsored in part by Home Trust Bank, Mast General Store, Times-News, and the Dr. Minor F. Watts Fund.

The Arts Council of Henderson County is a community organization that advocates for the arts and provides opportunities to enrich the lives of children and adults through the arts by offering exhibits, art education and performances.

The Arts Council is supported in part by the North Carolina Arts Council, the State of North Carolina, several funds administered by the Community Foundation of Henderson County, Henderson County, and the Henderson County Travel and Tourism Bureau.
