Smith Killian Fine Art in Charleston, SC, Offers Works by Jennifer Smith Rogers

Inside the Walls, a French Quarter Perspective, is an exhibition of new works in oil by Jennifer Smith Rogers at Smith-Killian Fine Art in Charleston, SC, on view from Aug. 16 - 30, 2002. Works will be available for purchase at the gallery and online beginning at 10am Aug. 16.

The Charleston native has focused her painting on the ambiance and uniqueness of the historic French Quarter District of the Holy City. Rogers, who is known for her themes of architecture and vistas seen from towering over the city, will not disappoint with her new perspectives of what her admirers have come to love. After the great success of last year's show at Smith-Killian Fine Art, Rogers has found a way to top even herself. She combines a vibrant atmosphere with a charming southern town. What eludes the eye of most is captured on the canvases of Jennifer Smith Rogers.

"I spent many afternoons and evenings walking the streets and climbing the stairs of the French Quarter. With this series, my goal was to paint this frequented area with a fresh and unique perspective. Inspired by the charming architecture, these paintings are my personal signature on old Charleston".
