South Wind Gallery Re-Opens in Pawleys Island, SC

The South Wind Gallery in Pawleys Island, SC, announces its new location and upcoming grand opening. The new location at 10707 Ocean Hwy., Unit C is across the street from and slightly to the south of the old location. The small, very pleasant complex is called "Downtown Pawleys" and is next to The Hook restaurant. The grand opening will be held in conjunction with Pawleys Island's first gallery crawl on Sept. 1, from 5-9pm. The crawl has been organized by The Minton Festival of Music and Art, a month-long festival of music and art events, and includes the South Wind Gallery, The Gray Man Gallery, Cherly M. Newby Gallery, The Art Box and Art Works at Litchfield Exchange.

South Wind Gallery itself has changed its primary focus from a gallery and working stained glass studio to the sale and display, and custom preservation framing of fine art originals from artists throughout the entire state of SC. Artists include notable locals Bruce Chandler, Jan Carter, Helena McGrath, Hal Moore, Betty Robinson and Tatiana Ganina (formerly of the Soviet Union and former curator of The Hermitage). From the Charleston area South Wind has works by Billie Sumner, Tammy Papa, Martha Sharp, Katherine DuTremble, Joseph Nichols, and Carol McGill. Also from other areas of SC are Audrey Dillard of Greenville and Curtis Phillips of Camden. South Wind Gallery invites you to come in and see the new gallery and its selection of artworks by these and other artists from SC.
